Tumbleweed Tiny Homes experimented with a variety of insulation types when constructing their homes to ensure the best insulation for tiny homes. Each tiny home was originally built with spray foam insulation, which was easy to use and worked well, but was inconsistent throughout the home with some areas thicker than others.

Now, each Tumbleweed Tiny Home is lined with mineral wool insulation. The decision to go with mineral wool originally stemmed from it being a green product, however, it is also among the highest quality insulation and creates a sound barrier inside of the tiny home. Contrary to the spray foam, mineral wool is a consistent material and provides the same coverage throughout the tiny home.
